Miu is a Tokyo based tap dancer, performer, teacher, and choreographer. She started learning tap dance at the age of 7 from Hiroko Higuchi and HIDEBOH in Tokyo. She received some top prizes in the competition in Japan and the USA. In 2013, she passed the audition called JTSP (Japan Tapdance Scholarship Program) and got a scholarship for Rhythm World in Chicago. She choreographed and performed as one of the members of JTSP at "NATIONAL TAP DAY" in Tokyo and it was highly praised. In the spring of 2019, she directed the live show called "Groovin' Night" at the famous jazz bar "JZ Brat" in Tokyo, which ended up being a great success. She is also an alumna of the Tap Program at Jacob's Pillow in 2019 in Massachusetts, USA. As a solo artist, she has been teaching and performing at many places including Odessa Tap Festival in Ukraine, Tokyo International Tap Festival, RIFF Dallas and more. Now, she is hosting events, performing with some musicians and teaching at some places.
